Pragya Panchanathan received her HPV vaccination shortly after her 10th birthday. However, her curiosity led her to research more about cervical cancer. She was shocked to find that over 300,000 lives are lost every year to this preventable disease.

What disturbed her even more was realizing how many of these deaths could have been avoided if people had simply been aware and taken timely action. Pragya once told her mom,
"Tonight, 300,000 children are sleeping without their mothers—why aren’t people taking this simple step of vaccination?"

This powerful realization became the starting point of her mission.
